You have searched for, and found, what you consider one of the best work at home opportunities for you. Now what do you do? You already should have a plan, if you read my other blogs. A huge part of your plan should be...how are you going to get your Dream seen by others?
One method you must consider is SEO, or search engine optimization. There is both an art and a science to this, but these 7 steps should lead you in the right direction:
1) Key word research: If you want to get seen, you have to step above everyone else who wants to be seen as well. The competition is rough out there, so you have to be smart. Find a keyword or keyword phrase that describes your Dream but does not have millions of search results. Getting on page one of a google search quickly is possible for a newbie if you choose your keywords carefully.
2) You will hear this from many: Content Is King. Write good articles and post them on relevant article directories. Think logically. If you wouldn't want to read your article, why would anyone else? When your content is good, people will find you. And that is what you want isn't it? If you don't want to, or can't write your own, there are many sources for outsourcing. Make sure you check the article and make sure grammar and spelling is correct.
3) Place your targeted keywords strategically throughout your article. These keywords should be in your title, in the first paragraph, in the last paragraph, and several places throughout the body of the article. This is called "keyword density." But don't over do it.
4 ) Track traffic information. Say that three times fast. Monitor your stats. See how much traffic is coming to your article. If you are not seeing any traffic, it's time to reload. Do more keyword research. Write another article. Keep doing it until you get the traffic and the page ranking you desire. I never said this was a one shot deal.
5 ) Keep abreast of modern optimization techniques. The internet is an ever changing beast. And so are the big players in this big world. Google is always changing their requirements. Keep abreast of them so you can stay ahead of your competition. There are many free tools that you can use to your advantage. And lots that you can pay for too. Part of your learning curve is to check them all out and use the ones that serve you best.
6) Internal links. When you post a blog, you should have a link in the body that points back to your site. Believe it or not, there are unscrupulous people in this world and they will steal your content. If you have a link embedded in the body of your text, at least who ever reads this stolen material will still have a chance to see your site.
7) Internal links to other sites. It is a good idea to create a link to other authority sites in the body of your article. Google loves this as it makes your blog more relevant to them. Make 2 links to well know sites like Wikipedia or eHow. It is simple to do and helps tremendously in your ranking.
You are on your way. Now all you have to do is "rinse and repeat." The best work at home opportunities are awaiting you. This will not be an easy journey, but if you stick to it and do your due diligence, your Dreams may come true. Good luck
